Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck Hit Billboard's Jazz Songs Chart at the Same Time
To look at Billboards Jazz Songs chart this week, you would almost mistake it for the rock chart. Rod Stewart makes his first appearance on the chart as he and Stevie Wonder check in at number 28 with a cover of the latters My Cherie Amour.
Just one notch down is Herbie Hancocks new version of John Lennons classic Imagine, which also features an appearance by Jeff Beck. Coincidentally, Stewart got his start in the 1960s as the singer with The Jeff Beck Group.
